Mark Barger is a solo, acoustic guitarist, singer-songwriter and loop-artist with a wide range from folk, funk, rock, reggae to soul. Enjoy a live performance with ambient soundscapes, concepts, and atmospheres, tightly woven into a seamless acoustic autobiographical performance piece.
Coming from a musical family, Mark remembers waking up on Saturday mornings as a child, listening to his father singing in the family room and his mother echoing him from the kitchen. Mark would lie on his stomach, listen and watch.
Recently Mark has shared his music with audiences at the filming of The Mystery Hour; the Local Brew, a Springfield-based podcast and game show; the 35th Annual Sertoma Chili Cookoff; was featured in the Springfield News-Leader’s entertainment section artist spotlight; performed at the Springfield Healing Arts Fair, 2017; and also at the Green Guitar Folk House concert in Lenexa, KS, opening for Peter Mayer; and finally on KOLR 10’s Ozarks Live.
Mark now works on his second studio album, following In the Stars, his first acoustic concept album with the title track dedicated to his wife on the day of their marriage. Come be a part of an ongoing musical saga!
